I've been thinking this morning about why we get old. And why as we get older we have more ailment. They say when we die we will not be able to take anything physical with us, only our knowledge. If you think about it who has the most experience the most knowledge than our elders. Is it any wonder the Lord says how important it is for the hearts of the children to turn to their fathers. to have the opportunity to learn to grow from the experiences the mistakes the joys of our elders. If we can "learn wisdom" in our youth we will be able to progress much quicker.
I Believe as you gain more knowledge you are progressing towards perfection and maybe as we do this our bodies get old. Or we get closer to a heavenly state of being.
In our faith we believe that we are also be tempted by Satan. He who does not want to progress he who does not want us to learn he who wants us to remain in darkness. As we progress through this life on the straight and narrow path obstacles are thrown in our way we get lost and confused and a lot of the times turn around backwards are sometimes will just sit right down and not do anything at all this is what satan wants. It is for this reason the Lord gave commandments and why he gave us the temple. We need to return often to the temple not just so that we can do work for the dead but also so that we remember the promises that we made to the Lord and remember the promises the Lord has made to us. It is also so that we can be reminded of who we really are children of loving Heavenly Father. Children of God.
